I m looking for something with a tough water resistant or waterproof exterior that isn t going to pick up dirt or get damage by sticks rocks ect.

I m planning to take our tent but what thoughts you all have about sleeping in the van where to store all of our gear while we re sleeping in there don t want to have a roof rack because we want to be able to drive faster than 60mph what kind of recs you have for bedding in the van etc. So far i haven t found anything remotely similar to what i m looking for. I m new to camping unless you count setting up a tent in the backyard as a kid and i just built a sleeper platform storage system for the back of my honda element to use for car camping road trips etc and the air mattress i have doesn t fit. They have camping mattresses that are air with a layer of foam so they have a high r value keep you warm but can still reduce the bulk.

To put that in perspective most budget level beds are in the 400 800 range for a full. It prides itself on luxury and ensures comfort and warmth on the trail or in the car offers 20 more sleeping surface than your average camping mattress.

Rechargeable electric kettle that i could ideally use for making quick reheat dinners while car camping or backpacking. Didn t seem to deflate at all over the 3 nights we were there. This doesn t mean it s too large though instead it relies on vertical sidewalls to provide this surface area where other mattresses would be more rounded like a typical mattress. Everything worked great and i also slept like the dead. We re planning to go across country west east coast with 2 adults 2 kids and in a minivan. If you re looking for a super cheap mattress for car camping you can t beat the amazonbasics memory foam mattress. Same used the 20 intex air mattress i got from walmart on my last car camping trip.

I don t expect it to have a very long life though.
